Auction description:

Anglia Car Auctions Classic Cars King's Lynn, UK 30 - 31 August, 2025

1967 JAGUAR 340

Estimate: £5,000 - £8,000

Result inc Premium: £8,100

V5 present

Chassis number: 1J50364DN

Engine size: 3442cc

3442cc, manual. The present owner has had this red Jaguar 340 since 2000, and has had two prior keepers. The history file contains old MoTs from 1992 to 2022, and a large collection of receipts for servicing and maintenance during the present owner's 25-year tenure. In addition to these, the vendor tells us that last year the carburettor was refurbished and the fuel tank cleaned, costing over £800.

This Jaguar has obvious room for improvement, but offers plenty of potential. It was first registered on 17th November 1967, and today the indicated mileage is 88,657. The current V5C is present.

We haven't been able to access the boot.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
