The Appeal
There’s a good reason why London’s bank robbers chose S-Types for their getaway. Equipped with independent suspension from its two seater cousin, these quick, agile saloons really were the four door E-Type.
This car’s Opalescent Silver Grey over burgundy leather is one of the most desirable combinations. It is a finely presented car that was factory fitted with the 3.8L XK straight six mated to the desirable 4spd manual box with overdrive.
The vendor tells us that this car has had only two previous keepers. We’re told that the underside has been ice blasted and protected and the car is otherwise ‘rust free.’ It is fitted with a new VA exhaust system and was recently serviced. Other notable work includes attention to the carburettors and valves.
With German registration and current TUV, this is a very usable example of perhaps one of Jaguar’s best 60s saloons.
First registered in July 1964
