43 years I have waited for a Jaguar to call my own.

And this 2.4 passes all the gas stations!

Opening bid $1,000 no bids, ends in 6 days

    VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) 118011

    Transmission Manual

1964 Jaguar MK2 here with desirable Manual 4 speed transmission.   This is the rare 2.4L car , the 'economy' version ,  but it really scoots down the road well. Starts easily,  drives well, and no funny noises.   Does not overheat or have any mechanical problems. You can drive this car home, anywhere, right now.

According to the Heritage Certificate , this was originally Sherwood Green with a Sage Green interior - COOL!  I have all records going back to 1980 , and it must have been painted before that.   This car was used by a diplomat in Singapore, and imported to the USA in 1981.   3 owners, I bought this from the estate of the last long-term owner , who used this car regularly, and was active in the Jaguar Club of America, and even won a 'Best in Class' with this car in the early 2000's .

I drive this car almost every day now.

Everything works on this car - Horn, lights, dash lights , interior lights , parking brake , etc.  Car was constantly maintained by previous owner.

Small oil leak from engine, otherwise no leaks.

Interior looks amazing, except for one small tear on drivers seat.

Exterior very straight and rust free, but copper paint is mismatched now, and paint job appears to have been a lacquer and is crazing on the roof/ old and not great.   Tires are good.

NO RUST anywhere, and appears have new rear springs.   Even spare tire well is perfect.   Has most of the original comprehensive tool kit in its original box in the spare tire.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
