Purchased new by the late Mr Thomas and subsequently inherited by his son in 2026; showing two owners but really just one from new; currently displays 75,700 miles
An appealing example of Jaguar’s elegant MkII saloon, finished in Old English White and complemented by navy leather upholstery. Powered by the 2,483cc six-cylinder engine and equipped with a manual gearbox with factory-fitted overdrive, this example combines period sporting character with the refinement for which Jaguar became renowned.
First registered in November 1960, the car was supplied new by Martin Walter Ltd of Folkestone (according to a plaque on the dash) and has had just two keepers in total. It was purchased new by the late Mr Thomas and subsequently inherited by his son in 2026, providing an interesting family ownership history.
The Jaguar currently displays 75,700 miles, although the accuracy of this figure has not been independently verified. Period features include a Radiomobile radio, Lucas front fog/spot lamps and distinctive bullet-style racing wing mirrors, adding to its period character. It also retains its original Kent-issue number plate, 720 MKE.
The car was starting, driving and stopping as expected while on site for photography and a short video, with healthy 40psi oil pressure.
An attractive example of Jaguar’s classic sporting saloon, with an appealing colour combination, factory overdrive and notably limited recorded ownership.
