    Sellers description:
Here is an opportunity to own a wonderful example of a classic 1959 Jaguar Mk-1; This car is beautifully restored and functional in every respect. It is a matching number car and could be driven on a daily basis if so desired.

The engine starts soon as the starter button is pushed and the 4-speed manual transmission shifts easily and smoothly. These early Jaguar saloons are wonderful examples of British understated elegance and luxury and they are sure to appreciate in value since there is a relatively small number of them available in this condition.

The body was stripped to bare metal before repainting in Imperial Maroon (basecoat/clear cote) and there was absolutely no accidental damage or any rust! The car originally had California black plates (I have the license plates) which probably accounts for the complete lack of rust. The body is totally sound; the doors close smoothly with an easy push and all gaps and seams are even.

    Sellers description:
    1959 Jaguar Mk 1 Saloon

Black Horse Garage presents this wonderful and unique Jaguar Mk1 Saloon. Beautifully presented in burgundy paint with a deep red interior, this Mk1 is warm and inviting, just as a classic Jaguar Saloon should be!

This particular car has been maintained by its enthusiastic owner to an almost obsessive level! Service records in excess of $20,000 are included - evidence that a well and truly uncompromising owner cared for this little Jag like it was part of the family. Very well known by Black Horse Garage, this has to be one of the best driving early Jaguar Saloons available. While it presents itself well enough to show, it is really meant as a car you can pile your family into and get out on the road. The 3.4L engine is very sweet, and the manual gearbox is smooth shifting and easy to use. Of course, the fantastic Jaguar XK engine note is there to enjoy. It always runs strong and cool, even in hot summer weather and always starts "on the button", something the owner worked very hard to ensure.

Beautiful and high quality Dayton wire wheels and Vredestien tires have been fitted, and the original bolt-on hubs and wheels will be included in the sale. The original Walnut trim is in good original condition throughout, and the interior presents very well in dark red vinyl trim and carpeting. Owner's manuals and extensive records are also included.

This is a wonderful choice for a family classic car that is fully sorted and ready to go!
