This 1958 Jaguar Mk I saloon is finished in blue over blue leather and powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The car reportedly spent time in storage from 1980 until it was acquired by the seller in Wisconsin from the long-term previous owners in 2019. Features include Intermediate Speed Hold, chrome bumpers and trim, burl walnut interior trim, 15″ wire wheels, and four-wheel disc brakes. Service completed under current ownership is said to have included cleaning and adjustment of the SU carburetors, replacement of the fuel pump and coolant hoses, brake system refurbishments, and installation of a temporary exhaust system. This Mk I is offered with an operation and service handbook, advertising materials, and a clean Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in blue, and the seller reports that the front end and both sides of the car below the chrome trim were repainted under previous ownership. Exterior features include chrome front and rear bumpers with overriders, a single side mirror, and a chrome grille. A dent is shown in the right rear overrider, rust is visible at the rear of each wheel arch, and the seller notes that the reverse light is inoperable.
Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels wear Coker Classic Redline tires showing 2009 date codes that were installed under current ownership using new innertubes. The seller states that the rear tires show uneven wear from a previous installation. The braking system has reportedly been refurbished with rebuilt hydraulic cylinders as well as replacement caliper seals and hoses under current ownership. The brake booster is currently disconnected, and the seller reports a pulsation when braking from higher speeds.
The cabin features front and rear bench seats upholstered in blue leather with matching door panels and burl walnut veneer on the dashboard and door tops. Amenities include a heater, a storage cubby on the driver’s side of the dash, and a locking glove box. The carpets were replaced under previous ownership, and holes are shown in the rear portion of the headliner.
Centrally-located Smiths instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an integrated clock, an ammeter, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added by the seller. The seller states that the fuel level gauge and the clock work intermittently.
The 3.4-liter inline-six features dual overhead camshafts and twin SU carburetors, and was rated at 210 horsepower when new. Service under current ownership is said to have included cleaning and adjustment of the carburetors and refurbishment of the fuel tank as well as replacement of the SU fuel pump, the cooling hoses, the thermostat, the generator belt, and the engine, transmission, and differential oils.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed Borg-Warner automatic transmission. The seller notes that the transmission is slow to engage at initial startup but that engagement improves as the transmission warms up.
A service handbook and operation manual as well as an advertising pamphlet and a manufacturer’s guarantee are include in the sale.
The title for the car shows a VIN of KE86798, which is the engine number shown on the identification plate in the engine compartment.

Ebay item 4/15/22
Car has a buy it now price of $30,000 for 29 days, same location, seller themagnetfactorymke, 8k miles.
Seller's description:
Up for sale is my 1958 Jaguar Mark 1 3.4 Automatic. 8706 miles since new. I purchased it in 2019, it had been in a private collection for many years, unused since 1980. Storage was kind to it. With the exception of the wire wheels, nothing has been detailed on this vehicle. I washed it, spray waxed it, vacuumed it and wiped down the glass and interior with a damp towel. A bit of Meguiars leather conditioner on the seats. Nothing buffed, nothing polished. Currently in excellent running and driving condition. I’ve put on 500ish trouble free miles. Engine barely makes a full rotation before starting, fast idle circuit holds idle up for a minute or two (depending on temp) and you can take off without hesitation straight away. Engine leaves a couple tiny oil spots after a short drive, nothing after a longer one. Valve cover or tach drive. No other leaks or drips, floor was dry after 3 months in the same spot. Services I completed were as follows: Remove, clean, reseal fuel tank and install with new strainer assembly. Install new SU fuel pump. Remove carbs, clean bowls and passages, reinstall with new filters. Change engine oil and filter, transmission fluid, rear diff oil, lube chassis. Replace ignition points, condenser, rotor and plugs. Replace all cooling system hoses. Replace generator belt. Rebuild all brake calipers and master cylinder, replace all hoses, pads, etc.. Replace tires and tubes. Replace exhaust system. Currently dumps below the rear axle. There’s certainly more odds and ends. This vehicle is in incredible original condition. It does show having been repainted below the chrome belt line trim but it was done very early in its life, my guess would be for minor rust/chips/dings. (There’s a small amount of bubbling at the lower rear of each wheel arch.) It was done very well but is ever-so-slightly off in color from the original paint above the trim. No sign of collision damage. Chrome is fantastic. An occasional pit, scratch, ding but nothing detracting. Interior is absolutely charming. The aroma that is only present in a well preserved, original Jaguar... Leather and wood are in excellent condition considering the age. Everything present, proper and functioning. Glass is all original and perfect. Underbody shows only minimal surface corrosion. Trunk is clean, original mat and side panels present. Jack and complete tool kit are present. Original brochures, manual, auto trans instructions.
