Seller's description:

Mileage 75,660
VIN # S 986975 DN
Exterior Ascot Fawn
Transmission Manual
Interior Red
Engine 3.4 ltr. XK Straight Six
Condition Excellent
This beautiful JAGUAR MK I was built in October 1957 as a left-hand drive model with a 3.4 liter engine, overdrive and disc brakes and delivered to North America.
It came to Europe in the Netherlands in 1991 and was purchased by the last owner in 2016, who completely and extensively restored it by 2021. The engine and gearbox were removed and replaced with a new 3.4 liter, the body was stripped of its Old English White paint, all corroded areas were professionally removed and the new sheet metal parts replaced.
The doors were fitted perfectly and accurately and close like a safe, snug and flush. Finally, the body was painted to a high standard in the beautiful and very charming JAGUAR color Ascot Fawn.
The interior is completely original and has a very beautiful and well-kept patina. The wooden dashboard with the instruments positioned in the center and the wooden panels around the door frames, as well as the seats, have been lovingly refurbished. Only the carpet has been replaced. The original fog lights and the spoked wheels in enameled silver grey make the MK I even more appealing.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
