Auction description:
Lot number 1
Hammer value £1,500
Description Jaguar MkII 3.8
Year 1964
Colour Gold
Chassis No. P223951BW
It would be a crime to customise an original MKII but the one you see here is just begging to be given a makeover as it has already been modified in America, including a louvred bonnet, a sunroof and a whopping big V8 engine.

As the accompanying Heritage Certificate confirms, this left-hand drive MkII 3.8 Automatic was delivered new to Jaguar Cars of New York in August 1964. It came back to the UK in the early 1990s and has not yet been registered here although all duties have been paid. Said to be in "basically sound" condition, it is being offered here at no reserve and will make a great project for someone.

Please note that all the proceeds from the sale of this car will be donated to the Westfield Special Needs School, Leominster, for the Bubble Appeal to provide the children with a hydrotherapy pool. No buyer's premium will be charged on this lot so please bid at least 10% more vigorously!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
