1962 Jaguar 3.8 Mk 2 with 4 speed manual with overdrive. Great daily driver. Very reliable and fires right up everytime. Holds its temperature in all weather conditions.
The following is a list of the work that has been done and parts put into the car.
Rebuilt Engine (crank cut, bored, new valves, springs, oil pump, rings, bearings, pistons, chains, etc)
Rebuilt front end with new rubber bushings
New seals and gaskets on the rear end
New front and rear seals and gaskets on transmission
New clutch
Rebuilt clutch master and slave cylinders
Rebuilt brake master cylinder
New Water lines
New Carpets
Most electronics work (maplight and cigarette lighter needs rewired)
New Chrome and Stainless Wirewheels
New Tires
Coombs Sport Spats (originals included)
Original Tool Kit and spare (tool kit incomplete)
The car is mechanically solid but could use some superficial attention. The car looks good but is not a show car. The paint is old and lacquer based. It was originally white. There are spots where the white shows through from being buffed. There are minor blemishes like dents, and small spots (less than a dime) of surface rust. There has been body work done on the trunk, the rockers and some on the doors. The power steering leaks and needs topped off between fuelings. I have a rebuild kit but haven't had time to do it. The windshield washer pump does activate when the switch is turned on but I have never put fluid in the glass container. The windshield washer fluid reservoir is original and undamaged.
