Current bid $10,300 reserve not met, 29 bids, 3 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1962 Jaguar MK II 3.8 Litre. An outstanding unmolested classic Jaguar! 4 past owners only. Exceptional paint, chrome and glass. Mostly original interior with a beautiful burled wood throughout. Strong engine and drive train. No body rust that I can see, always stored indoors.

Tires are good but are cracking due to age. For this reason only I would not recommended driving the vehicle at high speed or any distance or any distance. Great show tires but nor for driving. Wire wheel rims are exceptional. Steering wheel center piece and horn button are broken, back bumper is not attached but we have it.

Power steering pump and generator (unknown if any of these work) along with a service manual. Undercarriage shows only very minor surface rust as would be expected from a well cared for vehicle stored indoors. The interior is where you may want to invest additional restoration efforts but it is ok as is and still has that wonderful jag aroma and feel.

Opening bid $9,000, no reserve no bids 6 days left in auction. 98k miles. Car now said to be in Springtown, Texas.

    Sellers description:
At 51 years old, the body on this Jag is dry as a bone with no rust through anywhere that I can find, and the underseal on the wheel arches has not peeled off. The paint gleams as you can see in the pictures. There is one place on the right front fender that needs help, and the interior of the trunk could use paint. I have two of these cars and health reasons mean that I won't be getting to both of them.
Has not been started in 3 years, but kept in an air conditioned garage the whole time. This car has the highly desirable chrome wire wheels that are in excellent condition and shod with Michelin red-line tires that have very few miles on them. They are better than the wires on my 63 and I was tempted to swap them over. But that wouldn't be fair on the buyer would it.
The engine is the top of the line 3.8 litre as fitted to the last of the XK-150's and the first of the E-Type's. In my opinion there is no better engine ever fitted in any car.
The interior is starting to show its age, but at 51 so did I. The woodwork is in great condition with no delaminating and a good shine. the engine compartment shows no oil leaks, the exhaust manifolds must have been replaced at some time because they both still have a lot of the original ceramic coating on them. The cam covers, carb pots, and carb intake have no pitting in the aluminum and will polish up beautifully. The power steering pump and the rear bumper are both off of the car right now but I have them both. The bumper needs re-chroming.
Mark 2 Jags are getting almost impossible to find in this condition, and the last one I saw go through Barrett-Jackson sold for over $30,000.00. I owned my first one more than 40 years ago and have owned a number of them since.

This is probably one of the most honest car descriptions that you have read on E-Bay.
Once again, you won't find a better car to play with than this lovely old jag.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
