This 1961 Jaguar Mk II was fitted with a 4.3L Vortec V6 in the late 1990s and was acquired by the seller in 2000. Work since 2022 has included installing a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and an aftermarket air conditioning system along with rebuilding the ignition system, reupholstering the interior, and replacing the carburetor, spark plugs, fuel pump, starter solenoid, and brake master cylinder. The car is finished in Dark Blue over gray leather and is equipped with fog lights, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, front bucket seats, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a cassette radio. This Mk II is now offered at no reserve with records from current ownership and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Dark Blue, and exterior equipment includes a Leaper hood ornament, fog lights, a pop-up cowl vent, dual fender-mounted mirrors, and chrome wraparound bumpers with overriders as well as a chrome grille, window surrounds, trim, and dual exhaust outlets. There are scratches and other blemishes around the body.
The 15″ wire wheels are mounted with 205/65 Michelin Agilis 51 tires. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension and a cantilevered live rear axle. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The brake master cylinder was replaced in 2023.
The cabin was refreshed in 2022, including the installation of replacement gray carpeting and reupholstering the front bucket and rear bench seat in gray leather. Burl walnut veneers adorn the dashboard, door caps, and window frames, and interior equipment includes lap belts, a cassette radio, aftermarket air conditioning, and front and rear vent windows. The dash wood is cracked and peeling.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and centrally positioned auxiliary gauges displaying water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 69k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.3L Vortec V6 was installed around 1997 and was fitted with a replacement two-barrel carburetor in 2024. MSD electronic ignition was added under current ownership, and additional work since 2023 has involved replacing the radiator, fuel pump, spark plugs, and starter solenoid.
A replacement 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission was reportedly installed in 2023.
