Nice shiny paintwork; tidy interior; Coopercraft brakes; Coombs spats; Webasto sunroof; current owner since 2015; running and driving nicely on site
First registered in Kent in October 1967, this particular 340 sadly comes with no documents other than a V5C which records 9 former keepers. Our vendor acquired the car in June 2015 from a Worcester gent who had owned it since 2010. In May 2015 it had been involved in a minor accident which resulted in a Cat D insurance loss. The damage was only light and was restricted to the front right corner, as shown in the last two photos.
Our vendor soon had the damage repaired and it has formed part of his collection ever since. As you can see in the photos, the car has clearly been well-restored at some point in the not-too-distant past and it still looks good today with nice shiny paintwork, a smart interior and gleaming chrome wire wheels. It also has uprated Coopercraft front disc brakes, Coombs rear spats, a Mota-Lita steering wheel and a Webasto sunroof. Originally an automatic (as denoted by the BW chassis suffix) it has been converted to manual at some point.
A check of the MOT history online shows that it was in regular use from at least 2006 – 2015, clocking up some 20,000 miles during this 9-year period with only a few minor advisories now and then. Since the last MOT expired in 2016 it has only covered some 200 miles and has been kept carefully stored indoors as part of our vendor’s collection.
Starting promptly and running nicely as we have moved it around on site, with good 40psi oil pressure, this smart-looking MkII is on offer here at a modest guide price and is now crying out for an enthusiastic new owner who can give it the more regular exercise that it deserves.
