Ebay item 8/1/12 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967-Jaguar-420-No-Reserve-Collection-Find-30-Year-Store ...
Current bid $1,703, no reserve, 11 bids 8 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Michaels Motor Cars is pleased to offer on E-Bay an interesting classic Jaguar 420 sedan. This car is in Sky Blue with Dark Blue Leather interior. The 420 model is equipped with the legendary 4.2 litre Dual overhead camshaft Jag engine with dual S.U carbs. These cars also had the E-Type independent rear with four wheel disc brakes. This is a great performing car when new. It is equipped with Automatic Transmission and Original Motorola AM/FM Stereo. The odometer shows 85,208 miles which we know is correct for the car. This car is part of a larger collection of much older cars which we recently purchased from a collector in Lebanon Pa. The older cars will be sold at the Simeone Museum by Bonhams Auction Company on October 8, 2012. Due to time restraints we are selling a few cars from this collection No-Reserve on E-Bay. This Jaguar has been in closed dry storage since 1983 and this car has not been run for at least twenty years. The engine is free and does turn over smoothly using the car starter. Overall condition is very good. Interior is all original with no tears or rips in the leather, Leather has great patina. Original carpeting is complete and in very good condition, headliner is complete with no tears, all door panels and dash wood are original. With a little care and oil, the leather and wood will look beautiful. All knobs, switches, and Gauges are original and correct. The body is very solid with fairly glossy paint. There is one exterior paint blemish on trunk as seen in photo. Chrome and stainless trim are very good and very presentable. There is some rust in the usual areas, original jack points are rusted, and front bumper support has rust on corners. Floors and main structure are very solid. Wheel arches, door doglegs and trunk are all very solid. All glass is intact and in excellent condition. Additionally, we have complete owner's manuals, original service book, and multiple receipts dating from when car was first sold in England. We also have original Jaguar Owner's Service Policy issued to original owner - as pictured! This is a great car that needs some attention to get running and minor cosmetic issues. The car is being sold with a clean Pa title.
