Auction description:
The Walter Hayes Sale 2011
1966 Jaguar S-Type 3.8 Saloon - Manual/Overdrive
Lot No.: 119
Registration: FVO 224D
Chassis Number: PTB 56977BW
Engine Number: 7B 61020-8
Number of cylinders: 6
CC: 3800
Year of Manufacture: 1966
Sold for (£): Unsold

This particular example was first registered on 8th February 1966 in manual specification with overdrive. Finished in the correct Carmen Red with cream leather interior and the desirable wire wheel option, FVO 224D is in need of some paint work in order to bring it up to a high standard. The car comes with a very interesting history file, which includes a bill from world renowned Jaguar specialists JD Classics to the tune of £6,700 and this was carried out within the last 2000 miles. The history file also substantiates the car's mileage with MoT test certificates going back to 1975 along with an original buff log book detailing changes in ownership.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
