Ebay item 11/3/07

cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll

Current bid $3,800, 17 bids, 3 days left in auction. 88k miles. Winter Haven, Florida

Sellers description:

This particular car has a a Factory Fitted Webasto Sun Roof with a front wind deflector. The fabric is in very good condition.

I have owned the car for more than 6 years during which time it's use has been limited to being driven fairly briskly around an airfield perimeter track.

In the last two years the opportunity to do this no longer existed and the car has not received the exercise it should have. As a result the brakes are no longer releasing properly and the car can no longer be driven any distance.

I believe the master cylinder to be at fault but it could equally well be the calipers.

Anyhoo I do not have time to resolve the issue since time has run out on my storage space. So the car is being sold without reserve and I will have to bite the financial bullet.

On the positive the side the engine has been kept exercised and runs fine with good oil pressure, spins up well and idles

All electrical systems appear to be functioning but the cabin heater fan is missing.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
