Ebay item 6/12/09
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-67-JAGUAR-MK-II-UNIQUE-ALL-ORIGINAL-RARE-V8-AUTOM ...
Car has a buy it now price of $9,850. 3 offers 9 days left in auction. Complete VIN on this car is J67P180709DN.

Sellers description:
JAGUAR MK II WAS UPGRADED TO A V8 302 FORD MOTOR WITH EDDELBROOK MANIFOLD, 4 BARREL CARBURATOR, 12 V ALTERNATOR, POWER STEERING, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITH FLOOR SHIFTER, ALL FOUR DISC BRAKES, FRONT INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION WITH MULT LINK BARS AND ALL THIS WORK WAS DONE ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO BY A WELL KNOWN CALIFORNIA SHOP AND WAS USED BY THE PREVIUOS OWNER FOR MANY YEARS AS HIS DAILY TRANSPORTATION.

I PURCHASED THIS CAR ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO AND KEPT IT IN MY GARAGE ALL THIS TIME WITH THE IDEA OF RESTORING IT AND ENJOYING THIS FANTASTIC JAGUAR MYSELF.

RECENTLY I REPLACED THE FOLLOWING:

* NEW BATTERY
* NEW ALTERNATOR
* NEW DISTRIBUTOR / CABLES / SPARK PLUGS
* 4 NEW TIRES

THIS JAGUAR IS, BESIDES THE POWER TRAIN AND FRONT SUSPENSION, COMPLETLY 100% ORIGINAL INSIDE AND OUT AND BY THAT I MEAN ALL CHROMES, LIGHTS, DASHBOARD, WOOD TRIMS, ETC. UNTIL YOU START THE CAR NO ONE CAN TELL THE UPGRADE MODIFICATION THAT WAS DONE TO THE CAR. INCLUSIVE THE CAR KEPT THE ORIGINAL WIRE SPOKE WHEELS WITH THE FAST SINGLE BOLT ( UNIQUE TO JAGUAR OF THAT TIME).

ITEMS TO BRING THIS JAGUAR TO SHOW CONDITION:

* NEW PAINT JOB
* NEW DOOR PANELS
* NEW CEILING LINER
* REBURNISH THE WOOD TRIMS
* FIX A/C
* DETAILING ALL AROUND

NOTE: THIS JAGUAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN ANY ACCIDENTAL, EVEN MINOR, IT HAS NO RUST AND ALL DOORS, HOOD AND TRUCK LIDS OPEN AND CLOSE AS ANY NEW JAGUAR WOULD.

PERFECT JAGUAR FOR THOSE WHO APPRECIATE THE BEAUTY OF ITS ERA BUT WOULD LIKE TO DRIVE A MORE RELIABLE AUTOMOBILE.

SUCH MECHANICAL UPGRADE IN TODAYS MARKET WOULD COST IN EXCESS OF $ 25,000 ALONE.

Sellers description:
1967 JAGUAR MK II "BAD BOY" V8
Drive in luxury and style knowing you have the "back bone" to perform if needs so...
I purchased this Jaguar MK II over 6 years ago with the intention of restoring it. But with others projects, kept postponing this one. Now, decided to sell.
Originally this Jaguar was from Hanford, California and I kept garaged all those years. Periodically I would take for a drive around the neighborhood.
The motor is a Ford 5.0 with a C4 transmission. Disc Brakes on all 4 wheels with the Original Spoke Rims in place. The front suspension has being transformed from the Jaguar torsion bars to coil springs given the auto a more update performance. Still in the car the original AC unity that is installed on the trunk (never tried to turn on) that has being offered to purchase from me from others Jaguars collectors.
Work done so far: 4 new tires, new battery, new spark plugs, wires and distributor, new gas filter and rebuilt carburetor, oil change, motor flush, new alternator and belts and new air filter housing.
99.8% Rust Free. Only some very small surface rust on few spots. From my assessment this Jaguar never had an accident, the body is flat and smooth. A new paint job will be need plus the headliner.
Can be driven but the ideal will be to restorer first. The body is 100% original 1967 Jaguar MK II. The interior is 99.9% original 1967 Jaguar MK II.
I have a State of California clean and clear title in hand.

Not only has the beautiful engine , and manual/overdrive gearbox been lost and replaced by a heap of junk, but someone has been dickering about with the front suspension . Whether as a result it's a deathtrap is a matter of conjecture

Mind you, now I think about it the suggestion that this car originally had torsion bars is absolute rubbish , so maybe the suspension has not been doctored . Either way, it just shows how little the vendor knows about this car

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
