Ebay item 3/17/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Auction ended at $1,075.77 reserve not met after 11 bids.

Sellers description:
I bought this jaguar at an auction just for the parts. It has the same engine as my E-type, same rear suspension, and a ton of other parts (gages and electrical). I am having a hard time parting it out because it is really complete. This car could be saved. The body is really solid. There is some rust on the floors and in the trunk. The interior is complete but rough, all the wood is there except the piece on the driver side door. I removed the intake and carbs and cleaned everything. the carbs are very nice, nothing frozen, shafts seem nice and tight. (they would need kits of course). I ran a compression test and # 2 piston was at 40 lbs so I pulled the head. Everything looked great, the cyl walls are not scored and the head looks fine also. It might have been a blown gasket, but it dosn't matter the engine is very rebuildable. I'm listing it with a reserve of $2500 if it sells great ! one more saved from the crusher. If it dosn't I will have a spare engine for my E and a bunch of parts to sell. ( I just seen a sedan triple carb setup go for $875 a couple days ago). I hope that dosn't happen because this car is pretty solid. All the parts will go with the car, the window chrome is in the trunk.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
