Jaguars motto Grace, Pace and Space was never better demonstrated than in the 420G.
Hectares of leather and wood vernier cover the vast interior. The boot is so big it could easily house a family of four. The styling has the graceful lines that Sir William Lyons was famous for. He would even have new models taken to his home and placed in the garden to watch the lines in the fading evening light.

The magnificent 4.2 ltr XK engine fitted with triple 2 inch SU carburettors, could propel it to 120 mph. This Bryson's delivered, low mileage two owner car comes with its original service log book and hand book. It is finished in the striking combination of Black over Silver with pale grey leather. There are picnic tables in the rear and it even has its original radio and operating manual.

Equipped with automatic transmission, power steering, four wheel independent suspension and all round disc brakes. Its a breeze to drive.

Overall the car is in fine original condition with a full history showing caring ownership. The paintwork has some imperfections and one or two minor parking dents. In all a very honest car.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
