It presently has a Ford 302 with the Ford three speed with overdrive automatic transmission. The 302 is such a proven power source that it has been used by Ford for over forty four years. It starts every time with ease. The engine has been modified with hi performance parts, 700 CF carburetor and an Edelbrock intake manifold and various other new parts. The exhaust system is the original Jaguar system coupled into the engine making it quite a sleeper. Many are pleasantly surprised when you pop the hood and see that beautiful engine staring back at them! The unit sports the original sun roof which still operates. The paint is only two years old and in great condition due to being garaged its entire life after restoration. The interior has been redone in its original red color and garnished with red aviation seat belts. It has an AM/FM radio which incorporates a CD player. In the back seat are "picnic fold down trays and an arm rest. The front seat also has a pull down armrest. The car also comes with an aftermarket air conditioner and brand new AC pump. Which it does need to be hooked up. The left tank is non functional but I have a new sending unit to put into it that is all it needs other that reconnecting the fuel line. The Speedometer also needs to be hooked up, it just needs the speedo cable. It does need some finishing touches as I can no longer work on it due to my lung transplant and it needs a good home. There are a few other minor discrepancies, but are easily taken care of. I have used this car as a driver and not as a show car although it is a real head turner. This unit was purchased in Los Angles and spent its entire life in Monterey, California with the exception of me purchasing it and bringing it to Grass Valley. This is a car you want to take to Hot August Nights and show off! It truly is beautiful.
