    Sellers description:
    1959 Jaguar Mark IX Saloon
    50,000 Original Miles
    Found In Barn
We have been commisioned to sell this amazing car to help settle an estate. The information we will be providing is as accurate as we have been told

An extraordinary rare find!! This very low mileage English luxury car was recently uncovered in a Minnesota Barn. We have been told (unverified) that this example is one of only five 1959 Jaguar Mark IX's in North America.

The Mark IX luxury Jaguar was only built for 3 years (1959 -1961). The particular Body Number on this car is 003810. The total production of this model over the three year period was only 10,005.

This car sports a 220 HP 3.8 Litre twin overhead cam six cylinder with power steering and four wheel disc brakes. The current owner had the engine completely rebuilt about two years ago and it has less than 100 miles put on it. The car was parked in the barn at that time and remained there since. This car has been stored under cover most of its life.

The body is still all original with minimal surface rust. We noticed small bubbles starting to appear that don't even show up on the pictures. The glass is all complete with no cracks, chips or yellowing.

The red (maroon) leather interior is completely intact but is aged and cracked. The walnut veneers are also aged but do not show any stress cracks. The only cracking on the wood trim seems to be from the French Polish.

The tires are in excellent condition with lots of rubber left. We did not notice any cracking.

The pictures were taken as the car was found in Western Minnesota. It will remain there until the new owner picks it up or arranges shipping.

As the car has not been started or driven in almost two years we recomend that the car be trailered until inspected by a mechanic.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
