Ebay item 6/2/09
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $2,222.22 reserve not met, 6 bids 5 days left in auction. 67k miles.

Sellers description:
This auction is for a 1958 Jaguar Mark VIII Saloon. This is a fairly rare find, as it was only run for a few production years. The car does run and can drive, but has not been fully restored. It has new brakes and fresh oil, but I am unsure of the exact mechanical condition of the vehicle, as it belonged to my dad. It starts with no trouble, and runs smoothly with no knocks or pings. This car could be a daily driver without much work, or could be restored with time and care. Most of the exhaust is rusted out, and there is an exhaust manifold leak. The tires seem to be good, but are very old. There is paint chipping/spidering on the roof of the car, as well as on one of the gas doors. There are a few spots under the doors where minor rust repairs may have been made. The car is 100% complete, and is only in need of some restoration.

Current bid $2,000 reserve not met, 13 bids 5 days left in auction. Same location. 67k miles.

Sellers description:
1958 Jaguar MKVIII. It is in original condition, never restored. It has a Borg-Warner automatic transmission. As far as I can tell, the car is 100% complete. The car rolls easily, and the brake system is in good working order. The engine ran last summer, but has carb problems which now prevent it from starting. The engine spins freely, and appears to need only carb work to get it going again. The exhaust system needs repairs/replacement. Title in hand, clean and clear. Will make a great restoration project.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
