The car was refinished in its present two-tone scheme of Pearl Grey and Old English White in 2009, and features include a sunroof, dual fender-mounted mirrors, and a chrome rear bumper. The windshield, hood ornament, rear window glass, and the front bumper have been removed but are included in the sale. Rust repairs were made to the body and trunk floor during the repaint, and the seller has also re-chromed the bumpers and exterior trim. The left doors are thought to have been replaced during prior ownership.
Pearl Grey-painted 16″ steel wheels with chrome Ace Rimbellishers and Jaguar-logo hubcaps wear 215/75 Goodyear Wrangler wide-whitewall tires that are in need of replacement. Four additional matching steel wheels are included in the sale.
The stripped cabin contains a four-spoke steering wheel, and replacement electrical wiring has been installed from the rear up to the dashboard, but requires finishing and is not installed into the engine bay. The sale includes front and rear seats, wood dashboard trim and door trim, wood picnic tables and magazine racks, sun visors, a Smiths electric clock, ashtrays, a center cap for the steering wheel, and other assorted wood and vinyl trim items.
The instrument panel contains a Lucas ammeter and a fuel-level gauge. A Smiths 120-mph speedometer with a five-digit odometer showing 59k miles is included in the sale, along with a Smiths tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline. Total mileage is unknown.
The numbers-matching 3.4L inline-six is paired with a Borg Warner DG-250-MJ three-speed automatic transmission, both of which are currently mounted on an engine test stand. A rebuild of the engine in 2020 included boring and honing of the cylinders, resurfacing of the cylinder head, and replacement of the pistons, bearings, valves, gaskets, and hoses. Two rebuilt SU carburetors are included in the sale along with a re-cored Marston Excelsior Ltd. radiator.
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate lists factory specifications and a production date of April 16, 1957. The current California title lists the VIN as 78075BW.
