This car was originally delivered to the Spanish embassy in Washington DC and subsequently transferred to the consulate in Casablanca at an unknown data. It was imported into Spain through the port of Algeciras and registered in Madrid in 1964. It still carries that first 1964 Spanish registration number although it has been certified as a “historical vehicle” with an optional VH number.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
