Car to be at auction 9/14
www.barons-auctions.com/details.php

Auction description:
Lot No:
Manufacturer Jaguar Cars
Model MKII 3.8 Sports Saloon
First Registered 1963
Registration No UHH 785
Engine No LC1535-8
Chassis No 307852DN
MOT None
Colour Maroon

Offered here is a relatively early example of this timeless saloon car, which is blessed with the 3.8 engine and the highly desirable manual transmission with the Laycock de Normanville overdrive. The car forms part of a large and eclectic collection, which is now being sold off due to bereavement and the advancing age of the collectors widow.

Acquired in 1999, the car appears to have had 3 or four owners in total. The original "Buff" Log Book shows that the car was supplied by the SMT Sales and Service C0.Ltd. in Carlisle, where the car remained until 1968 before going to Milnthorpe in West Yorkshire, where it was still registered to the same owner into the 1980's. The trail goes cold until the car was bought by Mr Cheesman (deceased) in 1999 and it is now registered to his widow.

Guide Price: £13000 to £15000

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
