According to the Federal Roads Office, this copy was first approved in the canton of Basel in February 1965. In 1997 there was a change to the Canton of Bern before the C-Type changed from the last owner to the Canton of Appenzell at the end of 2009. In the years from 2009 to 2018, extensive work was carried out on the vehicle, which is described and archived in detail. The hand-crafted bonnet, which was built on a wooden frame made of aluminum according to original samples, is remarkable. On this occasion, the entire aluminum body was rebuilt and painted to a high quality.

This replica impresses with its flawless quality, good documentation and an honest history. It will never be an original, but a car with which you can take to the streets and experience a lot of driving pleasure.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
