This 1968 Jaguar 240 is a right-hand drive model that spent time in the Netherlands before being imported to the US in 2019. Finished in white over a red interior, the car is powered by a 2.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include 15″ steel wheels, chrome bumpers and trim, a wood dash, and a Blaupunkt push-button radio. Service performed during current ownership included replacement of the valve cover gasket, clutch cylinders, fuel pump, and battery. This Mk II is now offered by the seller on behalf of the late owner’s wife with service records, a jack, and a clean California title. The exterior features include a hood ornament, fender-mounted side mirrors, chrome window trim, bumpers with overriders, and twin exhaust finishers. Body-colored 15″ steel wheels wear chrome hub caps with Jaguar logos and are mounted with 205/65 Delinte DH2 tires.

The seats are trimmed in red vinyl, and the cabin features matching carpeting and door panels contrasted with a heather gray headliner. Amenities include a wood dash and upper door panel trim, floor mats, a Blaupunkt push-button radio, and three-point seat belts for the front occupants.

Smiths instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer shows just over 92k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 2.4-liter inline-six is equipped with SU carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The battery, coolant hoses, and coolant were replaced in 2020, and servicing in 2019 included replacement of the clutch cylinders, valve cover gasket, fuel pump, fuel hose, and fuel filter.

Fluid leaks are noted by the seller. The car is currently registered in California as Planned Non-Operation (PNO).

Lot #127372

This 1968 Jaguar 240 is a right-hand example that spent time in the Netherlands before being imported to the US in 2019, and it was listed on BaT in February 2021 prior to the seller’s acquisition. Finished in white over red upholstery, the car is powered by a 2.4-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes 15″ steel wheels, chrome bumpers and trim, wood veneer trim, and a Blaupunkt push-button radio. A Wilwood front brake caliper conversion, an aftermarket alternator, a third brake light, and an electric cooling fan were added under current ownership, and additional work included re-coring the radiator and replacing the brake master cylinder, starter, fuel pump, ignition coil, and assorted brake lines. This 240 is now offered at no reserve by the seller with a workshop manual, parts invoices, spare parts, and a clean New Mexico title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in white and is equipped with a leaper hood ornament, fender-mounted side mirrors, twin exhaust outlets, and chrome-plated bumpers with overriders. The seller reports that the front end was repaired and repainted under previous ownership. An area of discoloration is visible on the right side of the grille, paint cracks are present on the front end and left-rear fender skirt, corrosion is noted on the lower edges of the body.

Body-color 15″ steel wheels wear chrome hub caps with Jaguar logos and are mounted with 205/65 Delinte DH2 tires. Wilwood front brake calipers were added under current ownership, and additional service since 2021 included replacing the brake master cylinder, brake fluid reservoir, rear caliper bridge pipes, brake hoses, and rear brake pads.

The seats are trimmed in red vinyl and are complemented by color-coordinated door panels and carpeting. Additional appointments include a wood dash and upper door panel trim, a gray headliner, a Blaupunkt push-button radio, and three-point seat belts for the front occupants. An aftermarket third brake light and replacement three-point front seat belts were installed under current ownership. There is a split on the right-front seat bottom, and cracks and wear are visible on the wood veneer interior trim.

A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer shows just over 96k miles, approximately 4,200 of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 2.4-liter inline-six is equipped with SU carburetors, aftermarket air cleaners, and an aftermarket electric cooling fan. Service under current ownership included the installation of an alternator, re-coring the radiator, and replacing the starter, fuel filter, fuel pump, ignition coil, distributor cap, spark plugs, and ignition wires. An oil change was performed in May 2023. The car is said to run roughly when cold.

Power is sent to the rear wheel via a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Fluid leaks are noted on the underside of the engine and transmission.

A workshop manual, parts invoices, and removed and uninstalled spare parts are included in the sale.

The current New Mexico title lists a VIN of 1J2080DW, which corresponds to the stamping on the crossmember in front of the radiator.
