    Ebay item 10/19/07
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $9,950, no reserve, no bids yet, 4 days left in auction. Buy it now price $13,500.

    Sellers description:
Very RARE vehicle, a 1966 Jaguar Mark 10 4.2L double overhead cam straight six (same engine as in X-type) 4 speed manual transmission with an electric overdrive. Only 46K original miles! What makes it very rare is the RIGHT-HAND DRIVE! It's a hoot to drive believe me you get all kinds of stares, double-takes and comments. This car has the classic Jaguar front end, the unique exhaust sound and lots of chrome and wood. Runs and drives great and has had much work put into it.

    car # 1D50226DN
    engine # 7D50149-8
    body # 4D50340
    gearbox # JZN084

    The good things :
    New paint
    new tires
    new brakes
    new fuel pumps
    cooling system flush
    all new fluids and lube
    headliner in great shape
    carpet in good condition
    new steering shaft bushings
chrome around front and rear windshield will be on the car when sold

    Things still needing work :
    seats need recovered
interior wood could use new varnish
fuel tanks need flushing (rust collects in fuel filter over time)
    speedo cable needs replacing
electric overdrive not working (fuse or loose wire maybe)
    needs some exhaust work
    sun visors needs some TLC
there's some rust in the fuel filler areas
turn signal switch doesn't 'click' into place but signals work

That's about it maybe something I missed but the vehicle is in fairly good shape now just needs some details sorted out. Don't know if the heater works like it should or the radio I'm selling this car for a friend so I don't know every little detail, sorry.

Will include parts catalog in paper and CD and I think the owner has a shop manual for it.

Opening bid $1,000 reserve not met, no bids 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $4,995. Car now said to be in Cisco, Texas. 46k miles.

    Sellers description:
BARN FIND; 1966 Jaguar MK X also known as the 420G. This is a right hand drive car that runs but we used a separate can of fuel not to corrode the carbs and lines with old debris in the tank. The body is rust free and chrome is in excellent condition. Headliner is fine as are door panels. Seats need to be recovered. This is the same 4.2L six cylinder used by XKE with 245 HP and has a three carburetor set up.

This car would be an easy restoration to get to be a daily driver or take to parades and shows and very affordable at that. Pull the tank and go through gas lines and fuel pumps and restore the leather seats.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
