M.O.T JULY 1998
The present private owner purchased this 1965 Jaguar Mk10 saloon approximately eight years ago and prior to that it had been garaged for many years.
It was a concours and rosette winner in 1974 and 1977 at Packington and in 1979 it won the Car of the Year award. It is still registered with the Jaguar Owners Club, of which the owner is still a member, and it is painted in Golden Sand with the Light Tan interior. The car naturally has the automatic four speed gearbox and it is currently tested until July next year and of course it is exempt from road fund licence.
The vendor describes the vehicle as being in good all round condition and these cars are wonderful cars to drive giving effortless power whenever required from the 4200cc engine."

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
