This 1965 Jaguar 'S' type saloon has the extremely desirable 3781cc six cylinder Jaguar engine and it has the much preferred manual four speed gearbox with overdrive and as it is one of the later produced cars it is synchromesh and the optional wire wheels are fitted.
This delightful car has been privately entered and he has completed a lot of restoration work on the car, although he does inform us he has not had time to finish it all, during his ownership and tells us that mechanically the car is very good and that he believes the recorded mileage of 95300 miles to be correct from new.
This is a very good and sound 'S' type which should offer excellent value for money to the new owner."

Just out of a long sympathetic restoration, including much new metal and re-spray. In addition, the interior has been extensively refreshed, maintaining as much of the original as possible. There has been a major overhaul of the brakes, plus many other minor and major items that required replacing.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
