Car was at auction 10/17

Auction description:
Year Make Model Mileage SOLD FOR
1965 Jaguar S Type 132,000 (Warranted) £9000.00 + buyers premium
Description:

This Jaguar 3.8 S Type's claim to fame is that it featured on the front cover of Classic and Sportscar magazine in January 1988 carrying the title 'So Cheap its Criminal'. The article inside runs to five pages. This Jaguar was purchased by an Irish garage owner at the NEC in 1995 and subsequently reregistered in Ireland. The seller's description at the NEC back then mentions that 'it was understood that the car was repainted in 1986 to Concourices D'Elegance standards'. Remote central locking and electric windows and aerial were fitted. The car has covered less than 4000 miles in the last 21 years, Today the car remains in very sound and eye-catching condition though the paint shows signs of ageing. The extensive history file contains the original green log book, the old V5, no less than 3 stamped up service books, the owner's handbook, lubrication chart, old MOTs, original sales brochure and sales and service invoices. The original tool kit is present along with factory service and parts manuals. There is of course a copy of aforementioned Classic and Sportscar magazine. A full stainless steel exhaust system has been recently fitted.
