This 1966 Jaguar Mk II is a right-hand drive example said to have been imported from the United Kingdom to Oregon under prior ownership and subsequently relocated to Kentucky, where it was acquired by the seller in 2008. The car is finished in green over green leather, and power is provided by a 2.4-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Additional equipment includes burl wood trim on the dashboard and doors, fold-down rear trays, Lucas driving lights, and an AM/FM radio with front and rear speakers. This Mk II is now offered with a Kingscote & Stephens key fob, Jaguar service handbooks, Royal Automobile Club literature, and a clean Kentucky title in the seller’s name.
The car is believed to have been refinished in green under prior ownership in Oregon, and the left rear skirt was repainted under current ownership. The seller notes irregular paint along the roof, rock chips, and paint cracking and peeling in various areas. Exterior features include chrome bumpers, overriders, and trim along with fender-mounted mirrors, Lucas driving lamps, and and wire grilles on the headlights. The seller notes that the window and door seals were replaced circa 2015, and that the UK plates are included in the sale.
Color-matched 15″ steel wheels with chrome Jaguar hubcaps and trim rings are wrapped in 185-series Vredestein Sprint ST tires. A matching full-size spare is housed in the trunk along with a screw jack and handle.
The right-hand-drive cabin is upholstered in green leather over matching green carpeting, and the seats exhibit discoloration and wear. Interior amenities include a burl wood dashboard with matching door trim, drop-down trays for rear-seat passengers, and an AM/FM radio with front and rear speakers. The seller notes that the felt gasket on the steering shaft is worn, and the horn sounds when turning.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a tachometer and a 120-mph speedometer, with auxiliary gauges mounted in the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer displays just over 56k miles, approximately 1,500 of which have been added by the seller.
The DOHC 2.4L XK-series inline-six is equipped with dual Solex carburetors and delivered 120 horsepower and 143 lb-ft of torque when new. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission with an electrically actuated Laycock de Normanville overdrive unit.
