Auction description:
Classic, Historic and Thoroughbred Motor Cars, Barons (7 June 2011)
This 2.4 litre manual/overdrive example is finished in the classic and desirable combination of British Racing Green with a cream leather interior, and set off perfectly by chrome wire wheels. Often considered the 'baby' of the MkII range, the free-revving 2.4 can however be made a giant-killer with just a few tweaks to its engine.
Built in 1962, this car shows a recorded mileage of circa 68,000 miles, which the vendor confirms as genuine, and is substantiated to some degree by 18 old MOTs in the file. In very nice condition throughout and in the most 'classic' of liveries,it is MOTd to 11th May 2012.
