Car to be at auction 7/15
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

Auction description:
Lot 164 - 1962 Jaguar MKII
Estimate: £18,000 - £25,000
Registration Number: RFF 533
Chassis Number: 112113DN

This particular example was built in 1962 and is finished in Gunmetal Grey with luscious red hide interior. It is powered by the largest of the engines fitted to the MKII, the legendary 3.8 which produced 220bhp.

Fitted with a manual gearbox and overdrive, this car is in the specification that is the most desirable of the MKII. To improve the drivability of this car, it was fitted with Cooper Craft disk brakes, power steering and an immobiliser. Described as being in excellent condition, this car is ready to be used and enjoyed this summer.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
