Auction description:
Lot Number: 70
1962 Jaguar MK II 2.4 Litre

Not Sold

Reg Number: GEX 676
Chassis Number: 110724D-N
Engine Number: BH4463-8
Cc: 2483
Body Colour: Red
Trim Colour: Black
MOT ExpiryDate: March 2013

The right-hand drive, home market 2.4 MKII on offer is equipped with a four-speed manual (plus overdrive) gearbox and vacated Jaguar's hallowed Browns Lane factory in 1962. It is finished in Red complemented by Black leather upholstery. The vendor informs us that 'GEX 676' has had just four owners to date, one of whom retained it for no less than 20 years. The Jaguar has apparently had a considerable amount of money spent on it in recent years, and the vendor currently regards its bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, engine and overdrive transmission as all being in "good" condition, and is now selling the MKII complete with an MOT into March next year.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
