Ebay item 12/17/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-MK-1-1959-Jaguar-MK1_W0QQitemZ280184600555
Current bid $3,050 reserve not met, 2 bids, 5 days left in auction. Buy it now price $7,500.
Sellers description:
1959 Jaguar MK 1 four door. Runs and drives very well for a car this old. Was fitted with a Chevrolet engine, 302 I am told prior to my purchase about 2 years ago. I bought with the idea my sons and I would fix it up and have an interesting looking car to drive around in, but we are too busy and its not going to happen. Purchased in San Antonio, TX and driven to my house, about 200 miles after purchase. Since that time I have drive to work several times and had a small bit of work done. New electrical wiring was installed imediately after I purchased by a local specialist. In addition the brakes were checked and repaired where necessary.
This is a very interesting old car. It receives regular attention when I drive it from motorist on IH35 and looks very exotic. Seems like it would be much more expensive. Interior was redone prior to my purchase and is in pretty good shape overall, Has original dash, radio has been mounted in glove box, and still contains original center dash gear shift.

Current bid $3,716 reserve not met, 13 bids 7 days left in auction. Car is now in Whittier, California.
Sellers description:
1959 Jaguar was fitted with a GM V6 engine & overdrive automatic transmission before I bought it. Since I've owned it I have sorted out all the wiring bugs on the engine (computer feed etc ) & now she runs great getting excellent gas mileage too. I have also had the trans rebuilt & it runs & drives very well . I uprated the brakes (notoriously expensive proposition when stock ) to GM (Camaro ) vented rotors & calipers in the front & Wilwood 4 piston calipers on the rear , the brakes are exceptional .There is no rust in the floors or trunk or rockers, there is a little in the doors & lower fender areas but nothing bad. I even have 3 good doors that can go with the car if wanted. The doors close with one finger, a click is all that is needed no slamming of doors this is a Jaguar !! All the windows wind down with no effort too. The Mk I was the first unibody car from Jaguar & is way over engineered , this is a superb car , the interior is nice as is the outside, it is not a show car but a very presentable driver . The wheels are powder coated & it has new tires. This is a reluctant sale as I have too many vehicles. I do not want a trade , as the reason I am selling is I have too many already. The trans was converted to a floor shifter, the trunk has new carpet , The interior is vinyl all the chrome is pretty good . I really enjoy this car it is great to drive & people get a kick out of seeing it on the road .

Car returns to ebay 9/16/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-3-V6-Jaguar-/140606786870
Current bid $2,358 reserve not met, 10 bids 5 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Portland, Texas.
Sellers description:
If you want a good, dependable Jaguar this is it! Not the old factory engine. It has a 4.3 Chevy fuel injection out of a 1994 S10. The transmission is a 700R that has been completely rebuilt. The motor, trans, and rear end do not leak any fluids at all. The engine has around 85,000 miles on it. Also, I heard the breaks were not the best when this car was new. Don't worry, it now has disc breaks all the way around. This car will put you in the dash if you hit them hard! Has new tires and wheels. Cleaned and repainted. Nice CD player with four speakers. All lights work. All windows in good condition, roll fine. The best thing about this car is that it is tight with no rattles. I ran it up to 65mph with no vibrations at all.Yes, the car could use some paint. It has some bubbles coming on the edges of the doors, but they are not all the way through. They would be an easy fix, where they are. Interrior is in great shape.
