This car has been my son's restoration project over the last five years. We purchased the car from an eye doctor in North Carolina. We also own a black Mark I 3.4 Litre Saloon that is totally original, but in complete need of restoration.

Sellers description:
I purchased these two Mark 1’s in 2001 as a father – son project. We had a lot of fun with the cars, but my son has moved on to other things. These cars have to go now as I have purchased several other classic British cars and do not have room for them in my garage anymore.
First, the 1958 grey blue 3.4 Litre Mark 1 (Car #989469DN) can be described as a shabby driver with numbers matching engine and manual transmission with overdrive. I have a clear Florida title for this car. The car runs and is driveable with good brakes, clutch, transmission, and fuel and cooling systems, and an OK engine. The electrical system works well, but the wiring harness is original. I know the car has been garaged since 1985, but I really don’t know the detailed history of the car before this.
The body has very little corrosion (see photos), as I believe that car has spent its entire life in the southeast. The driver side jacking point has rusted away and there is a small hole in the underside of the driver side outer sill, but the rust does not appear to be active. The car has a new base coat / clear coat paint job. The chrome bumpers and grill are average with little corrosion. The pot metal door handles, license plate surround, leaper etc. do have the typical pitting. The body rubber seals in the windows and doors need to be replaced. The rubber at the rear windshield appears to be new. The chrome rear windshield surround is missing (typical). The driver side window is cracked (I do have a replacement). The interior needs to be completely redone, as the leather seats are torn and the wool carpets are worn out. The previous owner put in a new headliner, but did a poor job, so this should also be redone. The steering wheel needs to be replaced.
The brakes have been professionally rebuilt with a new master cylinder, servo reservoir, metal, and rubber brake lines, hand brake cable, and rebuilt servo and calipers. All brake pads are new. The fuel system has a new electronic SU fuel pump. The fuel tank has been professionally boiled and sealed. The carbs were rebuild by a previous owner and were professionally tuned in 2005. The radiator has been recored with no more than 1,000 miles on it.
The engine has decent compression, but the back spark plug tends to foil with oil. The engine has a problem in that it leaks oil (I believe from the main rear seal). Also, the chains do make some noise, but I have not investigated. The exhaust system is in good shape with no more than 1,000 miles on it. The shocks were also replaced about 1,000 miles ago.
The manual transmission works well and the clutch is almost new. The hydraulic clutch master and slave cylinders have been rebuilt. The overdrive does not work (it may be the solenoid). Probably, the biggest problem the car has is that the overdrive unit leaks oil. The engine and transmission would need to be pulled to fix this problem properly.
The disc wheels have radial Pirelli Cinurato P3 tires with almost no wear on them and no visible dry rot. Be aware that they have been on the car for at least 15 years. Interestingly, I also have a full set of rare wire wheel hubs with good splines, so the car can be easily converted to wire wheels, if desired.
I am essentially throwing in the second 1959 black 3.4 Liter Mark 1 (Car #S992292 BW) as a bonus as I do not have a title for this car (I do have a notarized bill of sale).
