angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic-auctions/2598-19-Aug-2023/2796~1-1958-jaguar-mki-34-lhd
Auction description:
Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th August
1958 JAGUAR MKI 3.4 LHD
Estimate: £12,000 - £14,000
V5 present
MoT date: 06/07/2024
Chassis number: S988535DN
The vendor purchased this Jaguar MkI in 2020, with its previous owner - a Jaguar Land Rover employee - using it as everyday transport. While built in 1958, it was only UK-registered in May 2019; since then it has had just two owners. Since acquiring it, the vendor has used it extensively and it was driven 50 miles to the auction. He describes it as running well, with no issues, and routine maintenance undertaken. The odometer shows 94,453 miles. As an historic vehicle, the Jaguar is now exempt from MoT-testing; however it has an MoT through to July 2024. The only paperwork accompanying the Jaguar is its V5C.

Auction description:
Estimate: £9,000 - £11,000
V5 present
MoT date: 06/07/2024
Chassis number: S988535DN
While built in 1958, this left-hand drive Jaguar MkI has spent most of its life in the USA and was only UK-registered in May 2019; since then it has had just two owners. In desirable manual transmission with overdrive spec, it is believed that the ‘matching numbers’ car was restored during the 1990s and is described by the vendor as running well and ‘driving superbly’ with no known issues. It was driven 50 miles to the auction, and has been used regularly since the vendor acquired it in 2020. The odometer shows 94,576 miles. As an historic vehicle, the Jaguar is now exempt from MoT-testing; however it has an MoT through to July 2024. The only paperwork accompanying the Jaguar is its V5C.

This MK I Jaguar 3.4 saloon was produced for the North American market. Although there is little paperwork with the car, the vendor advises that it spent 61 years in the USA until re-patriated in 2019 when it was converted to right-hand drive. It has been used for local trips during the vendor's four year ownership including a wedding in September 2024. It was driven from north Lincolnshire to the auction and is described as driving well. Comes with current V5 and MoT print-out for 2023. The mileage is recorded at 94,646.
