Car has a buy it now price of $2,800 available for 6 days.

Seller description:
1958 MK1 Saloon up for sale . I bought this car to finish what the previous owner started but its not going to happen now . The previous owner told me that he rebuilt the engine, transmission, rear end, brakes, gauges, new tires . He also did most of the body work in primer brown . There is NO rust on this car ! The car has all of the glass windshield back window and all the side glass . I would say that the car is 90 - 95 percent complete.

Car has a buy it now price of $2,750 for 6 days. Car now said to be located in McMinnville, Oregon.

Sellers description:
1958 Jaguar MK-1 project, The body and undercarage has all been redone I can fine "no rust" you can finish the work that has been done or beter yet if you have a rusty car swap you parts over to this near perfect body and save lots of time and money.

there is no engine or auto transmission and the hood is missing. I guess the best thing I can say is you will get what you see in the photos. I believe the restoration was started in the 70's as some of the chrome parts are warped in newspaper with those dates. It was in dry storage untill I got it out of California. It has a Cally title.

I am downsizing and this one has to go. Has good tires no brakes.

  • 3-Speed Automatic Transmission
  • Repainted in Grey
  • Grey Leather Upholstery
  • Refurbished Tool Kit
  • Transmission Rebuild Kit Included
  • Parts Receipts
  • Private Party or Dealer: Dealer

This 1958 Jaguar Mk I is powered by a 3.4L XK inline-six backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission, and was reportedly the subject of a 2010 refurbishment by its current owner of 30 years. The work included a repaint in the present grey, and the car features newer dark grey leather upholstery. A rebuild kit is included for the transmission, which currently will not shift into third gear. This Mk I is offered by the selling dealer on behalf of its current owner with parts receipts and a clean Washington State title.

The car was repainted in its present grey by the current owner, and the seller notes that the finish is of amateur quality with blotches and imperfections. The rear bumper was recently damaged and refinished in silver, while the front bumper and other exterior trim retain chrome or polished finishes.

The rear wheel spats were reshaped for the 3.4L Mk I to accommodate optional knock-off wire wheels. The example is fitted with steel wheels featuring polished hubcaps and trim rings and mounted with a set of Firestone wide whitewall tires.

The cabin features grey leather seats with contrast piping and black carpets. A factory 4-spoke steering wheel and switchgear are retained, including the automatic transmission selector mounted on the dash below the instrument panel. Finish imperfections are visible in the wooden dash panel.

Instrumentation includes a 5,500 rpm tachometer, fuel level gauge, analog clock, oil pressure gauge, water temperature gauge, 120 mph speedometer, and ammeter, the latter of which is not functional. Approximately 81k miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer. The seller notes that the windshield wiper motor has been rebuilt, though the switch is not functional.

The 3.4L XK inline-six features factory-style blue paint contrasted by polished cam covers and other underhood hardware. The seller notes a fault with the 3-speed BorgWarner automatic transmission which causes it to not shift into third gear, and a rebuild kit from XKs Unlimited is included in the sale. The car can reportedly be driven in the meantime, with an effective top speed of approximately 45 mph.

The cylinder head wears number KE 6346-8.

A fluid service was recently performed according to the seller, who also notes that the brake booster is not functional.

The trunk is protected by a black rubberized liner concealing the spare wheel and fitted tool kit. The seller notes that the jack and tool kit were restored by the previous owner.
