Ebay item 5/13/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-Other-1958-Jaguar-Mk-1-3-4-/121649041659
Current bid US $15,000, no reserve 3 bids 5 days left in auction. 13k miles reported.

Sellers description:
Beautiful "Dove Grey 1958 Jaguar Mk.1 3.4 litre 4 speed with overdrive". It is in good condition.. The car has a few paint chips in the paint., some rust on the bottom seam of the driver's door, along with some rust on the passenger side rear corner under the bumper. All body seams are straight/perfect. Underneath there is surface rust and is all original and the engine compartment is mostly all original as well.(except for a few replaced pieces) The interior is in excellent condition with a brand new $1147 headliner installation.Wood is in great shape and all original. Seats are excellent, door skins are excellent, glass and chrome is excellent, as well as the carpet.Mechanically I have replaced a: clutch slave cylinder, brake switch, float, needle and seat, and a couple rubber seals on one of the carburetors, fuel bowl, and auxilary carb, and I have a new brake servo that needs to be installed. The fuel gauge has stopped working (sending unit I believe is the issue) and the speedometer has stopped working (i believe the elbow is the issue) The tires are new along with the hub caps and Jaguar emblems that are placed in the center of the hub caps. All lights interior and exterior work. I have a bunch of new rubber body seals and two seat belts that will go with sale. The engine is strong with a great exhaust note, clutch is good, and the car is absolutely a lot of fun to drive. Car Number: S987522DN, Engine Number: KE5469-8, Body Number: E005460, and the Gearbox Number: GBN14607CR.
I was told when I bought the car about a year ago that the car spent a majority of its life on Mt.Dessert Island in Maine.(playground of the wealthy) and that would explain the low mileage. This story was confirmed by a friend of the seller (sold on consignment to me) who used to spend his summers on the island and remembers seeing the car. The car still has the inspection sticker and plate from when it was last inspected and registered in Maine in 1974.
It is an honest car looking for a good home.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
