Ebay item 6/13/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-MK-1-Classic-Saloon-4-door-ready-to-drive-anywher ...
Opening bid $7,000, no reserve, no bids yet, 4 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
My wife and I have owned this Jaguar for the past 6 years and hate to get rid of it but have lost storage space. It is a daily driver that always starts and I would trust to drive me anywhere. It was restored sometime in the early 1980's according to the previous owner, and is showing some signs of wear. Thereby, the paint has some chips and scratches in it. From 20 feet away it looks great, closer inspection will show that it has truly been a daily driver (at least in the summers and on nice fall and spring days). Since we have owned it, it has always been garaged and covered (with the original 1958 canvas car cover which is in fine shape). It has never seen winter and rarely rainy pavement. We have also put a new custom exhaust on it that runs quiet and have just put in new wool carpet that was cut and pieced like the original 20 piece set. The interior is functional and usable but the recovered seats are showing some signs of wear, the wood is all there but could use to be refinished, and the headliner has been removed. We had planned to get it done this summer but lost storage space and have decided to sell. (I have all of the bows for you to have it done properly).

This car also comes with well over $1000 in spare parts including the original shop and parts manuals. The parts include, but are not limited to an extra radiator, 2 extra fender skirts, a full ring set, extra oil filters, along with many other boxed parts that may come in handy some day. Not that it currently needs any of them. As previously stated it runs great and is driven daily.

To answer some usual questions: I am led to believe that the odometer reading of @ 66000 miles is accurate. It has the original engine and is all original except for the fuse box which has been added to the Lucas Electric system and the Toyota Camry brake master cylinder that was added by the previous owner. The car is missing the original jack and tool kit and has an electrical problem that makes it so that one of the interior lights, the license plate light and back up lights do not work. Other than that it is functionally sound.

Car returns to ebay 8/27/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Low-Mileage-Mark-Runs-well-/120975795986
Opening bid $5,000 reserve not met, no bids 6 days left in auction. Now said to be in Culpeper, Virginia. 66k miles.

Sellers description:
Our low mileage car is running well but has not been driven regularly since 2008.

The interior is in nice condition for a 54 year old car. The seats look okay but the headliner is missing and the steering wheel has some minor cracks. The wood has a patina of age and could do with a freshening. The car was not equipped with a radio.

The car has some rust on the passenger side doors and the rear door on the driver's side. The underside has minor surface rust. There is good tread on all of the tires.

The rear of the car appears to be low to the ground due to numerous parts in the trunk (radiator, bumper pieces, fender skirts etc.)
