From the Estate of the Late Ian Cummins.
According to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate that accompanies the car, this exceptional Mark I was completed on April 17, 1958 in Cornish Grey with red leather upholstery, equipped with factory overdrive manual transmission. A 3.4-litre Special Equipment car delivered through Brysons in Melbourne, the Jaguar features four-wheel disc brakes and now has painted wire wheels, a period four-spoke sports alloy steering wheel and a period push-button radio. Benefiting from considerable work over the past 12 years to bring the car up to the present high standard, the Jaguar also has variable electric power steering fitted and marque specialist Graeme Lord rebuilt the engine in 2005 and overhauled the suspension in 2006. Repainted in the original colours in 2009 by Classic Car Garage, the Jaguar has new Wilton carpets fitted throughout. To be sold unregistered, the car comes supplied with an owner's handbook, original sales brochure and an extensive history and receipt file dating back over 20 years.
