This 1957 Jaguar Mk I is a left-hand drive saloon that was distributed in the US through Jaguar Cars of New York and delivered to the original owner in La Jolla, California. Finished in metallic gray over black leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 2.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional features include an aftermarket CD stereo, rear wheel spats, fender-mounted side-view mirrors, front driving lamps, and body-color wheels. This Mk I is being offered by the selling dealer in Glendale, California with a Production Record Trace certificate, a spare set of rear fender skirts, service records from previous ownership, and a clean Oregon title.
The car was finished from the factory in Pearl Grey, and exterior features include rear wheel spats, twin front driving lamps, curb feelers, and fender-mounted side-view mirrors. A pair of body-color partial fender skirts will accompany the vehicle.
Body-color 15” steel wheels feature chrome hubcaps and are mounted with 205/75 Cordovan whitewall tires that are said to have been recently installed. A full-size spare is found in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel drums that have been fitted with replacement shoes per the seller.
The cabin features seats trimmed in black leather with beige piping, along with matching door panels and tan carpets. Amenities include an aftermarket CD stereo, dash-mounted rear-view mirror, twin glove compartments, and opening front 3/4 vent windows.
A four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a woodgrain dashboard housing instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 26k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The 2.4-liter inline-six sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The cylinder head was reportedly refreshed and a replacement clutch installed some time ago per the seller.
The Production Record Trace certificate lists the factory colors and identification numbers, along with a build date of July 25, 1956.
The car is titled using engine number BB52568 shown on the chassis plate.
