Car to be at auction 2/14
www.silverstoneauctions.com/1956-jaguar-mki-2931

Auction description:
Retro & Classic Car Sale
1956 Jaguar MkI
Lot No.: TBA
Registration: VUO 132
Chassis Number: S 902907
Engine Number: BB 5331 8
Year of Manufacture: 1956
Estimate (£): 15,000 - 20,000

Manufactured on 10th July 1956 this original RHD 2.4L car was delivered in Cream over Red Interior. It was first registered with the number it retains today VUO 132 on 30th August 1956 by N.G Saunders and bought from Beales of Exeter.

Purchased in 1987 by Coopercraft Ltd, renowned Jaguar restorers who specialise in desirable, subtle modifications and upgrades. The car was restored from 1987-1991 and used as their demonstration show car fitted with their full disc brake conversation.

They regularly displayed the car until it was in 1994 at the NEC Classic Motorshow. It was later purchased by our vendor in 1996 and has been treasured since. It has been regularly maintained and benefits from a refresh including rebuilt brakes, new fuel pump and electronic ignition as well as bright work being re-chromed where necessary.

Presented in excellent condition the car looks fantastic and the restoration has aged perfectly giving the car lots of character. Now ready to be enjoyed by a new custodian the car is sure to provide pleasurable motoring for years to come.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
