This car was originally purchased from Jaguar by Paul Deacon, a writer for Road and Track magazine for $1.00 and was spec'ed out by him as well. His notebook along with the bill of sale accompanies this sale along with the original license plate from Coventry. The mileage is correct with a engine rebuilt in 1996 at 49,000 miles. A few upgrades include Coombs rear wheel spats, stainless steel wire wheels, power rack and pinion, alternator conversion with upgraded heater and fan as well as aluminum radiator. 1965 Jaguar 3.8 Liter Mark 2 finished in Westminster Dark Blue with Dark Blue Leather interior. This stunningly restored Mark 2 has a rich detailed history.

Originally sold to Mr P H Deacon ( an automotive journalist for Road And Track ) on November 3rd 1964 as a 1965 Model year car. A copy of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate is included in the detailed photos.

Mr. Deacon kept an extensive journal of the cars mechanical history including trips, oil changes and all repairs. Also included is the original bill of sale to Mr Deacon ( from Jaguar, Browns Lane, Coventry ) as well as some original sales brochures.

Most of the ownership history is known and fully documented including all the repairs and maintenance from it's last owner, a well known collector in Houston. The miles noted are original and fully documented.
