This particular stunning example had a body on restoration in 1996 and was finished in Westminster Blue and interior was done with Connolly hides, wilton wool rugs, new door panels and headliner. This car was originally purchased from Jaguar by Paul Deacon, a writer for Road and Track magazine for $1.00 and was spec'ed out by him as well. His notebook along with the bill of sale accompanies this sale along with the original license plate from Coventry. The mileage is correct with a engine rebuilt in 1996 at 49,000 miles. A few upgrades include Coombs rear wheel spats, stainless steel wire wheels, power rack and pinion, alternator conversion with upgraded heater and fan as well as aluminum radiator. It has a retrosound radio and petronix. This cars finish is in remarkable condition as well as everything else. This Mark 2 starts at the snap of the key and is a absolute joy to drive. Everything is in excellent working order and has been superbly maintained. It has the Foranger fog lamps, reclining bucket seats and rear window defogger. It comes with everything mentioned above including the Heritage trust certificate. These cars with this kind of history and paperwork do not come around often.

1965 Jaguar 3.8 Liter Mark 2 finished in Westminster Dark Blue with Dark Blue Leather interior. This stunningly restored Mark 2 has a rich detailed history.

Originally sold to Mr P H Deacon ( an automotive journalist for Road And Track ) on November 3rd 1964 as a 1965 Model year car. A copy of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate is included in the detailed photos.

Mr. Deacon kept an extensive journal of the cars mechanical history including trips, oil changes and all repairs. Also included is the original bill of sale to Mr Deacon ( from Jaguar, Browns Lane, Coventry ) as well as some original sales brochures.

Most of the ownership history is known and fully documented including all the repairs and maintenance from it's last owner, a well known collector in Houston. The miles noted are original and fully documented.

In it's current condition, the car retains it's original matching numbers engine and four speed manual transmission with Laycock De Normanville electric overdrive, Fogranger Fog Lamps, Reclining Bucket Seats, Rear Window Defogger, Limited Slip Salsbury Differential, Coombs type Rear Wheel Spats, Stainless Wire Wheels, Power Rack and Pinion Conversion from XKS Unlimited, conversion to alternator with voltage regulator, heater and fan upgraded using Clayton Classic kit, Retro Sound Radio, Pertronix distributor, new gas tank and wiring harness ( 2017 ), upgraded aluminum radiator, thermostatically controlled auxiliary electric cooling fan, totally restored wood, Connelly hides and correct Wilton Carpets New Headliner and on and on……….
