Auction description:
Artcurial Jean-Pierre Nylin Collection, Vernon, France, 28 September, 2025
1964 Jaguar MK II 3.8L
Estimate: €35,000 - 50,000
Sold : €31,304
French title
Chassis No P223147BW
- Sold new in France
- Optional sunroof
- Over €11,000 in recent work
As evidenced by its French importer’s plate from Royal-Elysees, this MK II was sold new in France and registered on the 24th February 1964. It is equipped with a desirable optional sunroof and automatic gearbox. The car already had a major restoration carried out prior to its acquisition by the current owner, a Jaguar enthusiast who further refined its condition, as evidenced by a file of invoices totalling more than €11,000 between 2023 and 2024. Recent work included the installation of an electronic ignition system, replacement of the fuel tank, complete overhaul of the braking system, new ball joints and rear shock absorbers. An oil change, new filters, spark plugs and a clean of the carburettor were also carried out. With its elegant blue colour combined with a fully and carefully refinished cream leather interior, this Jaguar is ready for the road and will offer its next owner both distinction and refinement.
