Condition Excellent
Our team of master craftsman are currently in the process of restoring this highly original, limited ownership, numbers-matching 1964 Jaguar MKII Sedan to that of our Show/Driver level, along with a number of performance and comfort upgrades. The Jaguar is a western states car that proved to be a great core car example to restore, and our team was happy to oblige!
Features and Upgrades included:
• Air Conditioning
• 5-speed Transmission
• Sound Deadening (for a quieter ride)
• Alloy radiator
• Gear reduction starter
• New stainless steel exhaust system
• Blaupunkt period-correct push-button AM/FM Stereo
• Chrome Wire Wheels
• Wooden interior components completely restored
The team started the restoration process with a complete stripping down of the sedan to bare metal before placing it on a rotisserie, and having it’s metal finished, leaded, with all of the body parts fitted to the car and chrome. It was then prepared for primer, sealer, and the team is now getting ready to finish the MKII in an attractive coat of Metallic Silver, which will be complemented by a newly trimmed Dark Blue interior. Our technicians have completed rebuilding the MKII’s 3.8 liter engine, and will be running the engine on our test station before being installed to the car. The team will also be upgrading the MKII’s transmission to a 5-speed. Elsewhere in the restoration, our team is going through other systems of the sedan including its fuel, electrical, cooling, and hydraulic systems, while the car’s chrome will be re-plated where necessary. The MKII will also receive a completely new, custom-tailored, and fit interior in the correct materials by our master trimmer.
