Sellers description:
1963 Jaguar 3.8 MK 11 .

The best way to describe her is to say she is a good running and driving car , it is an older car though so dont expect to race around .

She fires right up and if I leave her for a week or 2 all I do is turn the ignition key on let the fuel pump prime for approx 3 to 4 seconds and then crank and she allways fires on the second or third try , without touching the accelerator pedal and the oil pressure then comes right up

When driving everything works as it should , she shifts well , has disc brakes all round and stops well without pulling to any side . The power steering works well , gauges, exterior and interior lights, the only thing that does not work is the tachometer and I have not looked to see why .

The tyres are in good condition .

She is an older restoration and does need a fresh coat of paint in my opinion , there is some fading and damage to the paint on the roof and on the gray areas forward the paint has flaked in a few small areas .

In saying this , you can jump in and enjoy her as is and fix the smaller things later or do it now .

This is an older car so I would not expect to jump in and drive cross country , it does run and drive well , the longest trip I have undertaken in 1 shot was approx 80 miles and she did just fine .

The interior has been reupholstered but is dirty , I would remove the seats have the fabric cleaned and then reinstall them .

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
