The compact Jaguar saloon has almost legendary status in the classic movement and to many this 1961 car offers the ultimate specification, being a 3.8 manual with overdrive and power steering. Our vendor says the bodywork is good, as is the glass, while the metallic Midnight Blue paint and chrome is average. The cream interior is in average condition, other than the headlining, which is said to be good. The engine is good for starting while its running and presentation are average. Suspension and brakes are vendor-assessed as good and the gearbox and axles as average: our vendor notes the gearbox is noisy but a spare assembly comprising gearbox, bell housing, gear lever and overdrive unit is included in the sale. Offered complete with JDHT Heritage Certificate.
