This 1963 Jaguar Mk II is finished in Cornish Gray over red leather. It was purchased by the seller in 2008, sold to someone else in 2011, and later reacquired by the seller in a BaT auction in February 2017. The interior reportedly was refurbished and the wheels and tires replaced in 2011. Since 2017 the seller rebuilt the steering pump and box, replaced gaskets and seals, installed a stainless exhaust system and silencers, and performed a tuneup. Power comes from a 3.8-liter inline-six fitted with Pertronix electronic ignition and paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. This Mk II is now offered with receipts for recent services, workshop manuals, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The exterior wears Cornish Gray paintwork and features chrome beltline trim, window surrounds, and bumpers with overriders. Rust bubbles are noted at various locations on the lower door panels, and there is said to be evidence of rust on the body, particularly at the edges of the spare-wheel well inside the trunk. Detailed photos of these areas and more are viewable in the gallery below.
Chrome 15″ Dayton wire wheels reportedly were installed by the seller and mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires in 2011. The car features disc brakes at each corner and a live axle at the rear.
The interior was reportedly re-trimmed during the seller’s first period of ownership, and it features red leather, matching red carpeting and carpeted floors mats, and a dash trimmed in burl walnut. Cabin amenities include an aftermarket cassette stereo, hand-crank windows, and fold-down picnic tables in the rear.
Smiths instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer showing a 5,500-rpm redline. The speedometer cable is said to have been replaced in February 2019, and the five-digit odometer now shows just over 48k miles. The seller reportedly has driven a total of 12k miles across two periods of ownership.
The 3.8-liter inline-six features twin carburetors and has been upgraded with Pertronix electronic ignition. The seller reportedly has rebuilt the power-steering pump, fitted new hoses, rebuilt the steering box, and installed new gaskets. A tuneup and compression test were reportedly performed in June 2019. All cylinders are said to have been operating at 145-150 psi.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Borg-Warner three-speed automatic transmission that is said to have received new O-ring seals in 2018. A stainless exhaust system with silencers was installed within the past two years. Additional images of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
The car is supplied with workshop manuals and receipts for recent service.

This 1961 Jaguar Mk II is finished in gray over red leather and is powered by a 3.8L inline-six mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, twin SU carburetors, PerTronix electronic ignition, a stainless-steel exhaust system, chrome bumpers with overriders, lap belts, rear picnic tables, and an aftermarket cassette stereo. The car was sold in a February 2017 BaT auction and acquired by the seller in September 2019 following an August 2019 BaT auction. Subsequent work has included overhauling the carburetors and starter, re-sealing the valve covers, transmission, and differential, flushing fluids, and replacing the ignition coil, coolant hoses, motor mounts, tires, and control arm and sway bar end link bushings. This Mk II is now offered by the seller with uninstalled rear fender skirts, a 2022 JCNA concours award, repair manuals, a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, service records, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name listing the car as a 1963 model year.
The car was finished from the factory in Mist Grey and exterior details include front and rear vent windows, twin exhaust outlets, a disc brake warning rear bumper badge, and bright-finished elements that include the radiator grille, side mirrors, window surrounds, trim, and chrome bumpers with overriders. Paint bubbling is present on the lower areas of the doors.
Chrome 15″ wire wheels are secured with two-eared knockoffs and were mounted with 185-series Vredestein Sprint Classic tires in April 2022. The same service included the replacement of the upper and lower control arm bushings, sway bar end link bushings, and lower ball joint seals. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The cabin is said to have been re-trimmed in 2012 and features red leather seat upholstery that extends to the door panels and center console. Appointments include red carpeting, a burl walnut dash, hand-crank windows, folding rear picnic tables, and an aftermarket cassette stereo. Corrosion is present inside the trunk.
The black two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts Smiths instrumentation that includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset analog clock, and centrally positioned auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 51k miles, approximately 3k of which have been added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The 3.8-liter inline-six features twin SU carburetors and has been fitted with PerTronix electronic ignition and a stainless-steel exhaust system. An April 2022 service included re-torquing the cylinder head, re-sealing the valve covers, overhauling the carburetors and starter, flushing fluids, and replacing the coolant hoses, valve cover gaskets, and motor mounts. The ignition coil was replaced in November 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Borg Warner three-speed automatic transmission. Additional work in April 2022 included resealing the transmission and differential, and flushing the transmission and differential fluid. Transmission fluid seepage is noted.
Documentation accompanying the car includes repair manuals, service records, and a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate detailing colors, equipment, and serial numbers.
