Auction description:
Lot 322
1961 JAGUAR MK II 3.8l
30 000 - 35 000 €
Résultat : 36000 €
CHASSIS n° J61P216651BW

Inheriting of proven solutions from competition (unibody, four disc brakes), the MK II is distinguished by its clean lines and impression of fluidity. Undeniable aesthetic success, MK II is just as attractive inside. Its spacious interior and a flawless finish was equipped with the best jewels of the British tradition: walnut lacquered, Connolly leather, thick carpet.
Hosted by the ultimate evolution of the XK 6-cylinder 3.8-liter version "civilian" 220 hp, the MK II is a real sport car. Despite its 1 400 kg, it offers a 201 km / h "chrono" tip and kills the 0 to 100 km / h in 8'6. Very few sport cars are able of such feats in 1960. These exceptional performances are also perfectly usable with a very healthy behavior and a braking more effective.
Our copy was completely restored in the 90s by Eric Vignes (AMTRA company) at the request of its current owner. The work done was of high quality, nothing has "moved" since its restoration. The MK II was treated with a great respect and "pampered" by its owners. It works perfectly well and a revision dating from 2012 (Workshop garage specialized Sontrop: € 8930) attests to the care taken. A thick restore folder accompanies this beautiful sport car.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
